As a part-time translator, you will be involved in tasks such as game translation, proofreading, Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), and translation quality evaluation, ensuring the localization quality and user experience of the game in target markets. Responsibilities: Translate game-related texts, including dialogues, interfaces, instructions, documents, etc., accurately conveying game content and intent from the source language (Chinese). Proofread translated texts to ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other linguistic aspects. Conduct LQA by comparing localized content with the game to check for consistency, fluency, and comprehensibility. Evaluate translation quality, provide feedback and suggestions to improve translation accuracy and user experience. Understand cultural and linguistic requirements for game localization, ensuring adaptability and attractiveness in target markets. Maintain effective communication with project teams and other translators, coordinating translation tasks and schedules. Requirements: Native speaker of the target language (German, Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil)), or proficient in the target language. Experience in game localization, familiar with game industry terminology and common expressions. Excellent translation skills and language comprehension, with a good literary foundation, able to accurately convey game content and emotions. Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and fluency in translations. Strong time management and organizational skills, able to meet deadlines. Collaborative mindset, able to work with project teams and other translators, and adapt to work demands. Good communication skills, able to communicate effectively and clearly with team members. Preferred Qualifications: Interest in the gaming industry, familiar with different game genres and types. Proficiency in using CAT tools.
